Day 6 Lake Natron
After breakfast, depart for lake Natron. Natron is one of the most dramatically scenic places in Africa, a truly remarkable area which remains incredibly little visited given its proximity to Ngorongoro and Serengeti.
The main highlights are the superb volcanic scenery dominated by the massive active volcano Oldonyo Lengai, the enormous Lake Natron whose sodiforous waters take on the most extraordinary colours and the attractive thatched settlements of Maasai herders.

Getting here is pretty tough, the roads can be terrible and the accommodation is simple. Dry season, Jul/Oct, is the best time, although they are yet to invent a word to describe quite how dusty the journey can be.

Meals and Overnight at the camp.
