Our Egypt tour will be running simultaneously with our Jordan photo tour. Each tour is on it's own, and you have the flexibility to combine them. This means that you have the opportunity to join us in exploring the wonders of both countries in one seamless experience. You will be able to witness the unique history and culture of Egypt and capture stunning photos of the iconic landmarks in Jordan.
Upon arriving at the Cairo International Airport, a group transfer will be arranged to take you to the hotel.
After a comfortable journey, you will reach the hotel and check in to your room. Once you are settled in, it's time to explore the city! Get your camera ready, as you'll want to capture the beautiful and diverse streets and neighborhoods of Cairo. You will be able to walk around and take pictures of the iconic landmarks, bustling markets, and vibrant locals, capturing the essence of this vibrant city. Today we are visiting two of the most important historic sites in Cairo - the Mosque of Ibn Tulun and the Citadel of Sultan Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi (Saladin). The Mosque of Ibn Tulun is considered to be the second oldest mosque in Egypt and is a magnificent example of Islamic architecture. Our tour of the mosque will be a chance to learn about its history, admire its beauty, and appreciate its significance.
After our visit to the mosque, we will head to the Citadel of Sultan Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi (Saladin), which is one of the most iconic monuments in Islamic Cairo. This defensive fortress dates back to the Middle Ages and is considered to be one of the most impressive fortresses from that period. Our visit to the citadel will be an opportunity to explore its history, marvel at its architecture, and appreciate its defensive capabilities.
In the afternoon, our focus will shift to the streets of Cairo. Our photography tour will take us to El-Moez Street, starting from Bab Al-Futuh in the north and ending at Bab Zuweila in the south. This street is one of the most important in Cairo and its northern part extends from the Al-Hakim mosque to the spice market in Al Azhar Street, while its southern part extends from the Ghuriya complex to the Bab Zuweila. Our tour of the street will allow us to experience the hustle and bustle of Cairo, see its vibrant street life, and capture some amazing photographs.
We will be embarking on a unique and exciting journey to explore the ancient and magnificent pyramids of Giza. Our first stop will be to witness the breathtaking sunrise and take advantage of the beautiful early morning light for some stunning photography opportunities. Our knowledgeable cameleer guide will accompany us and lead us through the various sites, allowing us to capture the essence of the area in all its glory. We will visit the Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx and the Giza Plateau for a chance to admire these magnificent structures up close. Our guide will also provide us with special access to areas that are not typically open to the public, giving us an even more in-depth experience.
In the afternoon, we will have the opportunity to view all 6 pyramids during the sunset and capture the warm glow of the setting sun as it illuminates the ancient monuments. We will embark on an exciting journey to Aswan with an early morning flight. Upon arrival, we will be greeted by a warm transfer to our van that will take us to Abu Simbel. This stunning temple, located on the western bank of Lake Nasser, is a magnificent work of ancient engineering and will be the focus of the group's photographic adventures for the day. As the sun sets and the temple is bathed in the warm glow of the late afternoon sun, our group will have the opportunity to capture the essence of this magnificent structure with our cameras. As the day comes to a close, we will experience the unforgettable Sound and Light show, which will bring the temple to life with a stunning display of lights and music. This unforgettable experience is sure to leave a lasting impression and will be one of the highlights of our journey to Aswan.
Our exciting adventure in Aswan will begin after a nourishing breakfast. We will embark on a journey in a comfortable van, taking in the beautiful scenery and capturing moments along the way of the local people and villages. In the late afternoon, we will embark on a unique experience, taking a Felucca or motorboat ride to a Nubian village. As the sun sets, we will head over to the Temple of Isis in Philae to witness a magical sunset. This temple, located on an island, is a testament to the rich history and culture of this region. The locals are always happy to pose for photos, so don't be shy to snap some pictures! However, it's worth noting that the covered women are generally more reserved. After our visit to the camel market, we'll return to Aswan to continue our exploration of the city's street markets and backstreets. Here, we'll discover a wealth of spices and foodstuffs on offer, with vendors calling out their wares and tempting customers with their delicious offerings. Finally, we'll return to our hotel for a well-deserved rest. The drive from Aswan to Luxor is approximately three hours long and will be filled with breathtaking views of the Nile river and the surrounding desert landscapes. Upon arrival in Luxor, we will visit the iconic Luxor temple. This temple is considered to be one of the most magnificent structures in ancient Egypt and is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history and architecture. The temple is a combination of temples and shrines that date back to the New Kingdom and was dedicated to the gods of ancient Egypt. You will be able to explore the temples, walk through its grand halls, and admire the stunning columns and carvings. After a satisfying breakfast, we will embark on a journey to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. After breakfast in Luxor, we will embark on a journey back to Aswan. The Karnak complex, one of the largest temple complexes in the world, is a must-visit for anyone interested in ancient Egyptian history and architecture. The Luxor markets, on the other hand, offer a glimpse into the everyday life of the locals and are perfect for those looking to buy souvenirs or try local food.
After these excursions, we will then make our way to the airport in Aswan where we will board a flight to Cairo. The flight back to Cairo will give us a chance to relax and reflect on the incredible experiences we have had in Aswan and Luxor. Upon arrival in Cairo, we will spend the night in an airport hotel, giving us a comfortable and convenient place to rest before our onward journey.
Our schedule for the day is to depart after having breakfast, with a free and easy itinerary until it is time to take the flight back home. You will have some leisure time to do as you please, whether it be exploring the surroundings, shopping, or just relaxing. The flight back home will bring a close to this wonderful trip.
